The Result of a Collaborative Project
Between Art and Medical Research

The interdisciplinary expertise from leading researchers combined with the artistic skills of Niels Eje (music) and Bjorn Wennerwald (photography), makes MuViCure a project with growing potential and exciting new possibilities in the field of integrating arts in healthcare.

This is the first time ever that an audiovisual experience has been created from a collaborative project between professionals in the fields of art and medical research.

Musica Humana – A Scientific Approach to Music

MusiCure, the music and sound environment used in MuViCure, was created using research from the Musica Humana project. Since 1998 this project has explored the curative effect of the specially designed music as therapy in connection with the treatment of hospitalized patients. MusiCure has been tested on thousands of hospital patients, with overwhelmingly positive results.

Carefully Researched and Selected Imagery
and Composition

In a process involving ongoing feedback from hospital patients, doctors and nurses, the light, colour, feel and pace in the image composition is finely tuned to generate different moods that are precisely timed to match the music.
